Egxeni Engineering was established in the year (2010) and only operated as a plant hire company with just an Excavator, Grader and a TLB. During the first six months of establishment, we only managed with being hired by a few friends and would stand once in a while. However, by August 2011 we got our first direct appointment for Construction later followed by two others. By the end of 2012, the company had grown considerably, having also added a Concrete Batching unit (Ready Mix Concrete) thanks to our hardworking team of dedicated men and women and most importantly, our Clients who believed in us despite our initial teething problems, they are gratefully acknowledged. Egxeni Engineering currently has a team of over 600 employees incorporating highly skilled and experienced Artisans, Carpenters, Foremen, Site Agents, Project Managers, Quantity Surveyors, Contracts Managers, Professional Engineers, Technicians and Technologists.

The practice is managed by the founder member and a Professional Engineer, Mr. Vuyisa Mqokiyana who holds a B. Sc Civil Engineering degree from the University of Kwa-Zulu Natal. Leading by example, CEO/Chairman Vuyisa Mqokiyana is the powerhouse driving the ongoing quest to ensure effective leadership and profitable management. Incorporating company values, aspirations and key aspects of the company’s human resource philosophy, Vuyisa has formulated a highly successful game plan. Having served as a management committee member & Director for over ten years on a number of leading South African Consulting firms, he has thus gained invaluable corporate governance knowledge and experience.
